Saturday, January 14th at the Wayside Inn was another memorable day taking the painting workshop, starting with the morning coffee and tea with muffins, pastry, and sitting by the fireplace. After a morning of painting there was a five course luncheon in the candlelight of the inn’s old kitchen, with it’s fireplace burning so gently. Somehow, after the delicious luncheon, we went back to painting the Old Farm Hill, with it’s hand grained frame, and finished a little after 4:00. There were two students that hadn’t painted before but you wouldn’t have known it. The innkeeper Bob Purrington came in and there was great enjoyment showing everyone’s work.. Call and ask for the Innkeeper and he’ll tell you about the time he also took the class.

I hope you can take advantage of taking a class and experiencing a real piece of historic old New England at the Wayside Inn. I was asked as to when the next class would be, although it is unknown now, watch for the notices or send a card of interest to me: Christopher Gurshin, 1313 Main Street, Glastonbury, Connecticut 06033.
